Top Gun.
I've started a competition based on the "Star In A Reasonably Priced Car" as seen on "Top Gear" as a motivational tool for my students. Taking part is not compulsory but is "encouraged"........ The format of the competition is simple: You have to play all 5 blues scales up then down, all below fret 12 as much as possible, in a key of my choice and I time you. Last one to fret 12 is a vegetarian. Simple! You get as many attempts as you like every lesson, so I expect competition to be fierce as the "Top Gun" title will swap from person to person regularly. Here is the stopwatch link, so you can practice.
